About Us

Pheli [p-eh-lee], pronounced as in the isiZulu word “Phelindaba” or some spell it Pelindaba; meaning “end of the story” – is a name affectionately used in Pretoria, South Africa with reference to a township to the west of the City of Tshwane. That is, Atteridgeville.

This township is just a short distance from the famous Nuclear Energy Corporation of South Africa (NECSA), best known as the Pelindaba nuclear research centre.

As an organisation, Pheli Wines (Pty) Ltd originates from this Capital City of South Africa, albeit our wines are of Cape origin.

Formally registered in 2014, Pheli Wines (Pty) Ltd was found in 2013 by our wine connoisseur, Ms Moyahabo Anna Seemola after learning about the high demand of South African wine cultivars in Nigeria.

Anna started entertaining the thought of exporting South African wine to other regions as an independent agent. This led to studying about wine and ultimately, learning how to make wine and eventually producing our vintage wines. As a proud resident of Atteridgeville, the brand ‘Pheli’ was chosen to revive the rich history and heritage of the township.
